WOMENS HISTORY MONTH? HARD finding black friends?GIRL CHAT!

Women's History Month is an annual declared month that highlights the contributions of women to events in history and contemporary society. It is celebrated during March in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia, corresponding with International Women's Day on March 8.

I decided to ellaborate on being a woman all month long, my experiences the GOOD the BAD and the UGLY!
Am I the ONLY one who feels like everyday, there is a national this day, or national that day? Not that im UPSET by any means but who creates these days?
Personally Im TIRED HONEY, BUT I will say the last few "celebrations" have related to me heavily. Im OVERLY proud to not only be a woman but a woman of color. As I get closer to my 30s🥳, I yearn and truly strive to build meaningful and strong connections with other women. Im overly excited to figure out HOW I can not only become the best woman and friend , but how I can sit in the room with the "Oprah Winfreys" of the world.
I will say the older I get the harder I find it to have genuine relationships with other black women. I find there is this underlining"im better then you" or"who does she think she is type of vibe ANYTIME I come in contact with another black woman. Its like its engraved in our minds to see each other as competition instead of friends.
TRUE STORY
I attended a ying yang twins concert a few weeks ago ( don't laugh or judge me, who dosent love a good 2000s twerk throwback session) I was invited by a friend, who actually ended up sending me off and not even coming to the concert ;but thats a story for another time. I arrive at the concert looking for my "friend", I eventually figure out she's not coming however I was FINE honey, I had on this snakeskin romper and it was , body goal ON THESE HOES OKKKKKK! I was NOT about to go home and allow this bad friend to ruin my chances of twerking to shake it like a salt shaker OKKKKK ,NOT GON HAPPEN!

Men were buying me drinks, and I even ran into a few clients , so I opted to stay and enjoy my front row view to see the ying yang twins.
I approach the front row as the twins come out, their were three young ladies nearby. One of the women was black she appeared to be young, kinda plain, in need of some black female friends. I was friendly smiled at her tried making eye contact. Mind you I  live in Iowa the population of black women is already super low, so I called myself making the first ATTEMPT at being friendly. I noticed she wouldn't really look my way unless I wasn't looking or respond to any of my friendly attempts but I took it as maybe she was shy. After about 10 minutes of this I grew tired of trying to be friendly and found  other women nearby to hang with. The ying yang twins did eventually come out and began to perform "GET LOW". Now WE ALLLLL know when get low comes on TWERKING IS A MUST! The moment I started twerking she completely moved away from me and switched positions with her friend. Making it so I was no longer next to her, i was about two friends away at this point.
SO NOW I'm like ok this BITCH IS A HATER!
Second time everyone is now snapchatting and recording the twins at this point. I'm dancing having a good time, I finally get my phone out to record and the moment I do she completely blocks her face so she wont be in the background of my vids. At this point I'm over her, and want her hating ass away from me. Im still laughing and enjoying my time but was completely over her.
Once the concert ended I go to a nearby bar ,where a friend of mine was performing. As soon as I walk in to greet my friend; the hater from the concert is there. She now is like OMG I've always wanted to book a makeup appt with you, you look very nice.
So wait; you knew who I was, knew I was making an attempt to be friendly, but now that we are in front of other women who know and support me you wanna be nice?
These type of scenarios happen ALL the time w me I could go on and on and on and on. My question is WHY,WHY as black women must we compare, and belittle and down right HATE on each other for NO REASON AT ALL! Its so tiring and plaid out I LITERALLY CANNOT!!
Are you a black woman who feels the same?
DID YOU KNOW?
Phillis Wheatley was the first African-American poet to publish a book.

    Hey, great topic –
There’s so much history behind why black people as a collective have a difficult time uniting, too much to get into in this comments section -

But I will say, kudos to you for trying! At the end of the day that’s all we can do. I try to make an attempt to smile and SAY something friendly when I run into other black women, men and even couples. Oftentimes it only takes one smile, or one compliment to break the ice.

Keep being you, keep being sweet and never lose your sparkle – the world needs more!!
    😘

Females are super weird nowadays. Especially in Chicago they’ll just stare and try to figure out where they know you from it’s annoying, and pathetic. I just stop trying to be nice to people and stick to my crowd I’m familiar with.

Jz..I dont think its strictly a blk woman thing…just women in general..its always been about the Haves and the Have Nots..she may have thought you belonged to the latter. Then once she seen you were the JAZZ LASH of Dubuque..then here she go! lol..I laugh at people like that..for me you can have on a raggedy shirt and Il still speak and be kind to a person..Lessons of humility young people shudder at the idea.In Chicago?if you speak to a young woman she may take out a gun and shoot you! youth is truly wasted on the young. Then again grandaughter..you may have been Just to sexy for your clothes! quit it!
